The first Director for Companу or Branch in Russia

If you are planning to register a new company or branch in Russia, you have to declare a director of this company or branch. But a foreign citizen can not be appointed as the first director. Foreign citizen can be appointed as a director of the company only after he receives permission to work in Russia. Also the company as an employer should receive permission to hire a foreign employee to work in Russian company. The penalty for work without a permit can be up to 12,000 Euro.
What to do?
1. To use Nominee Director & Management services of EuroSkill

The benefits of using the nominee service of Euroskill:
  • transfer of tax and regulatory risks on outsourcer
  • cost reduction due to outsourcing of the functions of the Director
  • improving the reliability of the business

2. To appoint a Russian citizen, whom you know and trust, as a first Director
To avoid financial risks, we recommend to restrict the rights of the Director in the Charter, also we recommend using two simultaneously acting signatures for the Bank account and to sign an additional agreement with the Bank to limit the list of recipients of funds.
After the new company (or foreign branch) will be registered, the foreigner can obtain a permission to work in Russia and to be appointed as a Director.
If you do not have a Russian citizen whom you trust, or you are not willing to bear the fiscal and financial risks, we recommend you to use our Nominee director and management services in Russia.
3. To obtain a work permit after registering the company / branch in Russia
